George Meredith
Video Producer-Artist-Designer-Musician
Originally from suburban New York where he commuted into the city to write copy for a top ad agency, George moved to Traverse City in 1986 to work for NBC affiliate TV 7&4 as Promotion Director and Public Service Director. In learning to create effective TV ads for local clients, George acquired a taste for video production.
In 1991 when TV 7&4 switched hands, George opened his own business offering video production and creative consultation services. Since then he has worked camera for The Michigan Open, contributed segments to Adrenaline TV - a nationally syndicated show based in Chicago, produced event recaps for NORBA Mountain Biking races, the VASA and White Pine XC ski races, documentaries for The Wheatland and Blissfest music festivals, business presentations for the cherry industry, Ray Pleva Products, Inc., Traverse Area Sport Fishing Association and Big Buck Brewery in Gaylord.
George's true passion however is his outdoor documentaries - one taking as long as 10 years to complete! MICHIGAN's MONSTERS: LAKE STURGEON covers the Black and Mullet Lake sturgeon spearing season for a decade. DINNER & A GHOST features a famous local haunt and its mistress… with the best current video of her ghost on the grand staircase. VIDEO MOREL HUNTING is a sumptuous walk-in-the-woods and how-to on the prized delicacies. THE MISSING NUN uncovers far more than a murder and SCENES FOR SENIORS was designed as eye-candy and cerebral stimulation for the elderly. See samples of each of these in DVDs/Docs |
