The TROPICAL FISH SERIES depicts actual fish in terrestrial context which lends clues to their names. Butterfly Fish are on flowers, note the flying fish above the Blue Angel, the acorn in the mouth of the Squirrel Fish and the Moon Pies in space above the Moon Fish.

The MUSHROOM SERIES features morels: prized Spring delicacies that grow wild here in Michigan. Black, grey, white and yellow varieties appear in succession in secret hunting spots. The GEOMETRICS paintings use a gradational effect with symmetry to create sometime prismatic patterns. Many of my early unrecorded canvases were in this style.

My NATURE MONTAGES include Butterflies and Nudibranchs (seaslugs) with Birds to soon follow. The Butterflies canvas features 188 butterflies of the world and only one which I created. The Nudibranch work has a scuba diver hidden in it and in Leland Bluestones, try to find the word LELAND and Upper Lake Leelanau (x marks the town of Leland).
